Safe zone lighting is designed specifically for rope shovels and excavators. With high output red and green LED lights staged under the shovels counter weight, hanging ornaments and flags. Presenting haul trucks can use the green illuminated ground, hanging ornaments and flags to line up is a safe position to the shovels counter weight and prepare for perfect positioning to be loaded. This also gives support dozer indication when the lights are red it’s a no go zone and you will be in the swing path or travel movement of the machine.

How it works

Safe zone lighting is for rope shovels and excavators to let haul trucks and dozers know their intentions; when the ornaments, flags and ground lighting is red, this means the brakes are released and the shovel or excavator is about to move and all support machines shall keep their distance. Once the brakes have been applied all lighting will turn green and it is safe to self-spot or present for loading.

These lights can be used on their own or all together as ground lighting for under the counter weight- flags for counter weight and side of machine (ideal for dozers) - handing ornaments for boom and rear of shovels
